Rodents can enter a property through surprisingly small gaps — a mouse can fit through a gap the width of a pencil. Checking a few common entry points can reduce the likelihood of activity in roof voids and subfloors.

Common Entry Points

Roof tile gaps, weep holes, unsealed pipe penetrations, and gaps around doors and garage panels are the most frequent entry points we find during inspections.

What to Check

Look for droppings, gnaw marks, or rub marks along skirting boards and in roof spaces. Outside, check that vents and weep holes have appropriate mesh guards.

Getting Help

If you find signs of activity, a licensed technician can inspect the property, place bait stations where appropriate, and advise on exclusion work to help prevent re-entry.

For homes and businesses, our rodent control service covers inspection, bait station placement and exclusion advice. If a dead animal needs to be collected from any location, our dead animal removal service can attend.
